  • Introduce solid foods to your baby from approximately 5–6 months of age. 
  • Offer one food at a time to help your baby experience a variety of new tastes and textures and to check for adverse reactions to particular types of food.
  • If you are breastfeeding and decide to wean, do it gradually (over weeks or months) to reduce your risk of uncomfortable breast engorgement.
