  • Your care choices may be limited by your health, where you live or your medical history.
  • You may be able to choose who will care for you during your pregnancy – your doctor, an obstetrician, a midwife, or a combination of practitioners.
  • If all 3 options are available where you live, and if your pregnancy is uncomplicated, you may be able to choose whether to have your baby in a hospital, at a birth centre, or at home.
  • You will have time to explore all your options and can change your mind if you find the choice you have made is not right for you.
