Description
The Aboriginal Family Violence Prevention and Legal Service Victoria (FVPLS Victoria) helps Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experiencing or recovering from family violence or sexual assault, and works with families and communities affected by violence.

Costs
The Family Violence Prevention & Legal Service provides a free service.
Calls to the 1800 number are free for Victorians.
Calls from mobile phones may be charged at a higher rate.
Tip
- The FVPLS Victoria head office is in Collingwood, and covers the Melbourne area. There are also offices in Mildura, Warrnambool (covering the Barwon-South Western region) and Bairnsdale (covering the Gippsland region).
- FVPLS Victoria can provide telephone and face-to-face legal advice to people affected by family violence or sexual assault. Counselling is also available.
