The Maternal and Child Health app (MCH app) is no longer available.
Why we’ve decided to close the MCH app
As part of our commitment to improve digital services and information for Victorian families, we launched the Parent through the Service Victoria platform.
The new Parent Portal includes extensive online resources and a digital version of your child’s ‘green book’, also called the My Health, Learning and Development book.
The Parent Portal replaces the MCH app.
What happens next
The MCH app will be removed from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. This means it will be unavailable to download.
The MCH app will also not receive any further updates or bug fixes.
What to do if you have the app on your phone
If you have the app on your phone, you will still be able to use it. However, over time, records such as your child’s growth data may become unavailable for access or download.
We recommend you transition to the Parent Portal on the Service Victoria platform. The Parent Portal will have the most up-to-date health information and support for you and your family.
Information such as your child’s name, date of birth and growth milestones in the MCH app are only stored on your device. This information cannot be accessed by the Department of Health or any other entity. This means if you delete the app, this information will also be deleted.
If you have questions about the MCH app
If you have any questions about the app being removed and closed, you can email mch@health.vic.gov.au
