Cooking method:

  1. Steam or microwave the taro and sweet potato until half cooked and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in large pot or frypan.
  3. Add the ginger and garlic and cook over a low heat for 2-3 minutes stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the taro, chickpeas and sweet potato and spices and toss so that the vegetables and chickpeas are well-coated in the spices.
  5. Put a lid on the pan and steam for a few minutes until the vegetables are tender.
