Myth: PCOS can't be treated
Fact: Depending on the symptoms a woman experiences, management of PCOS can include lifestyle modifications, weight reduction and medical treatment with hormones or medications.
Myth: Women with PCOS cannot fall pregnant
Fact: Although women with PCOS may experience difficulty getting pregnant, on average, women with PCOS have the same number of children as women without PCOS.
Myth: Women with PCOS are overweight because they have a poor diet
Fact: This is not always true. Evidence suggests that women with PCOS may gain weight more easily than other women and also find it more difficult to lose weight.
