The Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO) represents 27 member Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) – which are community health organisations, initiated by and based in local Aboriginal communities. ACCHOs deliver holistic, culturally appropriate health services to local Aboriginal communities.
VACCHO advocates on all issues relating to Aboriginal health, and aims to improve services to Aboriginal people and achieve health equality.
VACCHO advocates for the health and wellbeing of all Aboriginal people in Victoria, including the social, emotional and cultural wellbeing of the whole community, and the ability for each individual to achieve their full potential as a human being.
