||Have you seen the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program in action?
The Kitchen Garden Foundation invites you to join a bus tour of some of Victoria’s leading Kitchen Garden Schools.
This is a rare opportunity to visit established Kitchen Garden Schools throughout Melbourne’s western region that have been running the Kitchen Garden Program for several years and are now reaping the incredible benefits of this innovative and very successful Program.
Tour participants will be able to view kitchen and garden classes in action, speak to staff from Kitchen Garden Schools, as well as Foundation staff, and enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by the Program staff and students at Bacchus Marsh Primary School.
This inspirational day will showcase four of our beautiful and productive school gardens as well as their home-style kitchens, and is designed to give participants a chance to get closer to the Kitchen Garden Program in action.
The tours are suitable for everyone interested in viewing the Kitchen Garden Program in action – new Kitchen Garden School staff very much encouraged to attend.
The bus tour begins at 8.45am at Federation Square, corner of Flinders Street and Russell Court, Melbourne. The first school visit is to Sunshine North PS, followed by Thomas Chirnside PS for morning tea prepared by Program staff and students, then Point Cook North P-9, before travelling to Bacchus Marsh PS for a tour and delicious lunch prepared by the Program staff and students. The bus tour will conclude back at Federation Square at approximately 4.30pm.
