STIs don’t happen to people like you? Think again.
Whether you’re straight, gay or bi, unprotected sex can cause serious complications. These may include sexually transmissible infections (STIs) such as chlamydia, syphilis, herpes, gonorrhoea, HPV and HIV/AIDS. It is possible to have an STI and not have symptoms. Safe sex is the best way to protect you and your partner.
You’ll hear plenty of excuses when it comes to not using condoms. Don’t let lovers gamble with your health. Always use a condom to avoid getting or spreading infections. If you have had unprotected sex, see your doctor about getting tested.
